Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome, Bulldogs! We are looking forward to a successful 2017-2018 school year for our school and our community. Our teachers and staff at Marion High School are highly engaged and dedicated to making sure that our students are being prepared with a quality education. We are committed to ensuring that our students have every opportunity to be involved in our programs and organizations on our campus.
High school is a wonderful time for students as they are finding new paths and discovering the foundation that becomes their post-secondary goals and aspirations. It is our desire that students embrace the opportunities that they are afforded at Marion High School. Likewise, we know the importance that the parental role plays on our students’ success.
Parents, we value all that can be achieved in the parent-school partnership and understand that communication plays a key role in that success. Please contact our teachers, administration, faculty, and staff members when you have questions or need assistance. Our united efforts will help build a strong foundation for our students’ lives. Please join with us as we encourage our students to maintain good attendance, timeliness, grades, and involvement in activities at Marion High School. We have much to celebrate this year; please join us throughout the year for these events.
Students, be active in our Bulldog community! Find a way to get involved in extra-curriculars, clubs, and organizations on campus. Involvement outside of academics is a key to making the most of your high school career. Take advantage and be an advocate for your learning. As you embrace these years, hold on to the values and choices that will build strong character and create avenues for success.
I am honored and blessed to serve the students and community of Marion as the principal of this campus. Let’s make it a great year at MHS!
